Privacy & cookies
The short version: this site uses only a single essential functional cookie for your language setting, runs no analytics, loads nothing from third-party servers, and only collects data if you contact me.
No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, no analytics tools, and no third-party scripts. A single first-party cookie (bwl_lang) is used solely to remember whether you prefer Swedish or English. If you use the contact form, your name, email address, message, IP address, and timestamp are emailed directly to me. Web server access logs are kept for 14 days. Nothing is sold or shared.
Cookies on this site
We respect your privacy and keep data storage to the absolute minimum. The only cookie set by this site is:

bwl_lang: A functional first-party cookie that stores your selected language preference (svoren). It lasts for 1 year so you do not need to reselect your language on each visit.
We do not use any advertising, marketing, analytics, or third-party cookies. You can clear your cookies at any time via your browser settings or select "Essential only" in the consent banner.
Who is responsible
Bitware Labs in Skåne, Sweden, is the data controller for this website. In practice that is Henrik Robertsson, reachable at henke@bitwarelabs.com. Mail about your data gets a personal reply.
What is collected, and why
If you use the contact form
The form collects your name, email address, and message so I can reply. It also records your IP address and the time of submission to rate-limit submissions.
The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). If a message leads to work together, the basis for what follows becomes performance of a contract.
Web server logs
Like essentially every web server, this one records requests: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, referrer, and browser user-agent. These exist for security and diagnostics.
How long things are kept
- Language cookie (
bwl_lang): 1 year, or until cleared in your browser. - Web server access logs: 14 days, then deleted automatically.
- Contact form emails: kept in my mailbox while the conversation is live. Ask and I will delete it.
- Client project correspondence: retained for the life of the engagement, and afterwards where Swedish bookkeeping law requires it.
