BitwareLabs is Incorporating
After three years of independent research into temporal intelligence and memory architectures, BitwareLabs is taking the next step. We're forming a Swedish aktiebolag (AB) to formalize our operations and accelerate development.
Why Now?
Our research has reached a point where it needs institutional support to move forward. Specifically:
- Research Grants — Swedish and EU innovation programs like Vinnova require a registered company to receive funding. We're preparing applications for 2026.
- Commercial Partnerships — Several organizations have expressed interest in our memory consolidation frameworks. A formal entity allows us to engage professionally.
- Open Source Sustainability — Incorporating gives us a structure to accept sponsorships and support for projects like MemoryCore, NeuralSleep, and Luna.
What Changes?
For the community: nothing. Our repositories remain open. Our research stays public. The mission is the same — building AI systems that transcend the eternal present.
For the projects: everything. A formal structure means dedicated resources, proper infrastructure, and the ability to pursue funding that was previously out of reach.
Timeline
We expect BitwareLabs AB to be operational by Q2 2026. Registration, tax setup, and administrative groundwork are in progress.
